Warm at Home provides you with information and advice to help you stay warm and healthy this winter. Designed to provide information thats useful to everyone, the App helps you to identify what you can do in your own home to be warm and healthy, and also to help you support friends or members of your community, to be warm and healthy in theirs. From finding out the most cost efficient way to heat your home to boiling a kettle or insulating your loft space, this application can help.

Warm at Home allows you to explore a wealth of current information and advice, in a straight-forward format, to help you Keep Warm, Save Money and Stay Healthy this winter. By signposting you to people who can help and providing contact details and websites for a wide range of organisations, you can easily find advice, services and information on grants, some of which are free of charge or available at a low cost, making this a great pocket sized reference guide.

You are also invited to explore ‘Our House’, an interactive house that allows you to explore, room by room, identifying the things that can make a real difference to your warmth, wellbeing and household budget. From the Loft Space to the Kitchen, all the main rooms in the house are displayed, along with key information that you need to know. In addition, Warm at Home offers daily tips and reminders that provide bite-sized information about health, warmth and well-being.

Warm at Home is a mobile application developed for the Warmer in West Berkshire programme, a Department of Health funded initiative that will help people keep their homes warm, minimise their household costs and maximise their income. Partners include West Berkshire Council, NHS Berkshire West, Community Council for Berkshire, Citizens Advice Bureau and Volunteer Centre West Berkshire. Warmer in West Berkshire provides information and advice on the practical actions everyone can take to save money and keep their homes warm. Additional practical support is available through the project to those in greatest need, to deliver the positive health and wellbeing benefits of a warm home.
